We believe in the power of prayer...

This is why we at Advent Books ask for your prayers that God will give us the wisdom to know how to work for Him and that the Holy spirit will touch many souls and prompt them to reply to the leaflets sent out and to give their lives to our maker.
We believe in the power of prayer and we ask that you remember this project both in your daily prayers and also in your mid week prayer meetings.
I can remember when an older gentleman came up to me and told me that each week he prayed for the work of Advent Books. Each day he would pray for different ministries and people doing the work around the world. Praise God for this, although this several years back now it is still an encouragement.
Thank you for your prayers – It is always great to hear when people are praying for the work so why not send us an e-mail letting us know you are praying.
“Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.” STC 93
"There is need of coming close to the people by personal effort. If less time were given to sermonizing, and more time were spent in personal ministry, greater results would be seen. The poor are to be relieved, the sick cared for, the sorrowing and the bereaved comforted, the ignorant instructed, the inexperienced counselled. We are to weep with those that weep, and rejoice with those that rejoice. Accompanied by the power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, this work will not, cannot, be without fruit.-- "Ministry of Healing," pages 143, 144"
"And the word that was spoken to Jesus at the Jordan, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," embraces humanity. God spoke to Jesus as our representative. With all our sins and weaknesses, we are not cast aside as worthless. "He hath made us accepted in the Beloved." Eph. 1:6. The glory that rested upon Christ is a pledge of the love of God for us. It tells us of the power of prayer,--how the human voice may reach the ear of God, and our petitions find acceptance in the courts of heaven." Desire of Ages 113
